The best holidays ever: Licanray

Calafquen lake

So today i'm gonna talk about one of my best holidays, which it's difficult to me because almost every time that i travel somewhere i have a really good time. Anyway, definitely one of the best holidays that i remember is the one that i went to Licanray for the first time. Before this trip i wasn't so related with the south of Chile, instead almost all the trips were in Iquique or La Serena, so i was very intrigued about the vegetation and landscapes of the south.

Ojos del Caburga

In the summer of 2014 my family and i decided to go to the ninth region of Araucania, specifically Licanray. So i went with my father, my mother and my sister. We stayed for 2 weeks in a little cottage close to the town center, which was cool because you could get to so many places just walking, like the Calafquen lake which is so beautiful and calm, perfect for swimming and boating that is exactly what i did.

We also went to Ojos del Caburga that consists in two beautiful waterfalls in the middle of the woods and Huilo Huilo, specifically to a place named Bosque Encantado that has a goblins theme in the buildings and coffee shops; also has a really big waterfall in the middle of the woods too. Finally we went to the Calle-Calle river in Valdivia and to an island in there. There is where i met the famous failed Puente Cau Cau.

The best of this trip was absolutely the vegetation of the places i visited, i was so impressed for all that forests and waterfalls, the nature in general so contrasting with the north landscape. Also i enjoyed the weather because was rainy, perfect for a walk in the woods. Definitely the atmosphere was the ideal.

I added some of the photos that i took...
